Taking a Pause

We had been hoping to gather this Friday at Jason Meyer’s home, but it doesn’t seem wise in this national moment of hunkering down, watching Netflix and reading the Daf Yomi. Some of us are self-isolating at home, some are a little more out and about. As a community, it’s best to err on the side of caution and caring. We’re skipping this week and will evaluate next steps.

Our next scheduled gathering is on April 10th to enjoy our annual catered Kosher L’Pesah meal at Dr. Jason and Noah’s home. We don’t know what things will be like then; we’ll make a decision by Monday April 6th. Until then, please feel free to share your thoughts by replying to this email or reaching out to board members individually.

If it feels right, people may want to gather privately for very small scale Shabbat dinners with social distancing and hand washing. If that doesn’t feel right, skip it. You can use our Facebook group to connect.

Wash hands, limit contact and stay strong. We’ve been survivors and thrivers for over 5,000 years. We will get through this with the help of HaShem and our belief in the goodness of the world.
